Kwangwoon University Station (formerly Seongbuk Station) is a train station on the Gyeongwon Line in Seoul, South Korea operated by Korail. It is served by Line 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway system, being one of the original termini of Line 1 along with Incheon Station and Suwon Station when Line 1 opened in 1974. Seongbuk Depot, one of the 5 depots of Line 1, is located nearby. It is also the current western terminus of the Gyeongchun Line, although trains traveling between Seoul and Chuncheon depart from Cheongnyangni Station. ==Renaming== Seongbuk Station was renamed Kwangwoon University Station on February 25, 2013.〔"(Seongbuk Station is now named Kwangwoon University Station )" (Korail via VisitKorea.net - February 18, 2013)〕 It was formerly subnamed Kwangwoon University.
